Carlos Baerga Softball Charity Event
Dec 6-9, 2000 (San Juan, Puerto Rico) James will participate in the festivities at the Carlos Baerga softball charity event in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Past attendees include: Roberto Alomar, Sandy Alomar, Pedro Martinez, Bernie Williams, Vladimir Guerrero, Sammy Sosa, etc. James will unveil two paintings that will raise money for the The Roberto Clemente Sports City Master Plan. The first painting will be entitled "Latin Legends" and include Roberto Clemente, Luis Aparicio, Orlando Cepeda, Juan Marichal, Tony Perez, Rod Carew, and Martin Dihingo. The second painting will depict several shots of Clemente with a new ballpark currently being built in San Juan named "Roberto Clemente Stadium". Harmon Killebrew's Celebrity Golf Outing
Nov, 2000 (Arizona) Over 25 Hall of Famers and celebrities will be in attendance. James has been asked to paint several of the Hall of Famers in which he will depict such stars as George Brett, Paul Molitor, Robin Yount, Ralph Kiner, Frank Robinson, et. al. The original painting will be signed by all the players and auctioned off. James will be in attendance to auction off his original.

Shea Stadium
Oct 24, 2000 James was asked by the Roberto Clemente family to create a painting of Roberto and Al Leiter to present to Al for receiving the 2000 John Hancock Roberto Clemente Award. James presented the original painting at a press conference at Shea Stadium during Game 3 of the 2000 World Series.

Sep 15, 2000 (Montclair, NJ): Opening Sept. 15, 6-8pm. James will be painting Orlando Hernandez, Jorge Posada, Mariano Rivera, Bernie Williams, and Elgardo Alphonzo to celebrate Hispanic History Month. (WIll also be on view at the Montclair Art Gallery)

Sep, 2000 James presented NY Rangers captain Mark Messier an original painting that will hang in the Hackensack (NJ) Children's Hospital. Mark had a walkway dedicated to him in his name because of his contributions to the Tomorrow's Children Fund.

Aug 5, 2000 James will be in a charity event entitled "Artists Against Abuse Plate Auction" to benefit the Retreat in East Hampton, NY. for the third time on August 5th. James will paint a neo-expressionism painting on the plate. Jun 2-3, 2000 James will be presenting an original painting of Greg Lemond where James will be riding around with him in Somerville, NJ. The paintings will be made into posters (in conjunction with the Cycling Hall of Fame).
Somerset Patriots
May 4, 2000 James will be throwing out the first pitch of the game for the Somerset Patriots Minor League Team at the Patriots Ballpark in Somerset, NJ. James will unveil some new paintings as well as the two original paintings he was commissioned to paint of the ballpark which were made into lithographs.
NY Society of Illustrators
