The Boy of Steel
James was commisioned to paint an original for Ray Negron, special advisor to the New York Yankees and author of "The Boy Of Steel" ,a childrens book that is about a young boy with cancer who becomes a Yankee bat boy for a day and journeys back in time to meet Yankee greats. Ray Negron is depicted in this original as a bat boy for the Yankees during the late 1970's with his Yankee pals Reggie, Billy, Thurman and the Boss. To read more about Ray Negron's life and to purchase "The Boy of Steel" please visit www.theboyofsteel.com.
James was also asked by Ray Negron to paint a mural of Lou Gerhig along with Jeter and Munson in Yankee Stadium. The art is featured in a "special" room down from the Yankees locker room where Gehrig would sit and relax away from the people. The reason James was ask to create this piece of art was too capture the spirit of Lou in that room where aRay will be holding press shoots.James said, "I guess I must be the only artist to have ever painted live during a game down stairs inside Yankee Stadium. It was really an awesome experience".

A Century of Tradition
EASTON, PA - James was commissioned to paint a one-of-a-kind, original for the Easton Diamond Club titled "A Century of Tradition." This painting will commemorate the 100th high school football game between Easton, PA and Phillipsburg, NJ. For a century, Easton and "P-Burg", two bordering towns that are separated by the Delaware River have been playing their annual Thanksgiving Day football game. This monumental game highlights the heated rivalry, tradition and history between the two communities. The first-ever meeting between Easton and Phillipsburg occurred on December 2, 1905. All games have been played at Lafayette College in Easton, Pa. The Easton/P-Burg rivalry is recognized as one of the most intense in the country, and has provided dozens of memories for the loyal fans of both schools. This year's game marks the 100th time the teams will square off against each other and will draw over 17,000 fans. The highest attendance for an Easton/P-Burg game was 23,000 in 1946. ESPN2 will cover the game live on Thanksgiving morning, November 23, 2006 at 9:00am.
