Donation to Robert Griffith
James has just donated his efforts towards the foundation of Minnesota Viking's Defensive back Robert Griffith. James was asked to paint Robert in several action shots along with a portrait. The lithographs are a limited edition and can be purchased by calling (770) 439-GOAL.

Somerset Patriots Commemoration
James will be throwing out the first pitch on May 4, 2000 at the Somerset Patriots Ballpark. The Patriots are a Minor League team that James had the opportunity to work with this past summer. James painted two paintings entitled "Opening the Gates" and "First Pitch at Somerset Ballpark." Both depict the stadium in its infancy. These lithos commemorate opening day and the team's inaugural opening of its home stadium located in Somerset, N.J. You may purchase these lithos as a pair by calling (908) 252-0700.
Just Minors
On June 1st, 1999, Topps Baseball cards released a twenty-card subset in the 1999 Topps Gallery packs featuring ten of James Fiorentino's artwork. Once a boyhood dream and now a reality, Fiorentino's concept celebrates contemporary stars in a 1953 baseball card representation. Lithographs and the orignal artworks were offered as contest prizes. The cards are currently the hottest and most sought after insert cards in the hobby. (Listed as #1 collected set and cards in Beckett Magazine) James' next card set will be with Just Minors, a minor league card company, which he will paint three subjects including Nolan Ryan, Rick Ankiel (1999 Minor League Player of the Year), and the top nine players at each position. Each painting will depict the players in their major and minor league uniforms and will be made into lithographs and baseball cards. An estimate of 20 cards will be found in the 2000 Just Minor packs. As one of Just Minors' innovative products, James will be transformed into an action figure (see example to left) depicting him in his college baseball uniform where James was a star athlete. This will be the first action figure of an artist-athlete and will be available through this website.

Greg Lemond
The Cycling Hall of Fame, in conjunction with Somerset County, NJ, has commissioned James to paint an original painting of Greg Lemond who will be honored June 5 and 6 in Somerville, NJ. James will paint a collage illustrating Lemond's career highlighting his Tour De France victories. James will have the opportunity to present the original to Greg and ride with him in a charity race. James' painting will also be made into a limited edition poster that will be sold throughout the Cycling Hall of Fame.
