James will also be selling limited edition giclees of the Jeter painting. This is James' first limited edition with Jeter and is only limited to 50. Those will be signed by Derek and James. The size will be 16" x 20" and available at the begining of September. Please reserve your giclee as it will be a sellout.
Tri-Centennial Celebration of Mobile, Alabama: James has been asked by the United States Sports Academy to create an original painting for the Tri-Centennial Celebration of Mobile, Alabama. (USSA chooses sports artist of the year and Olympic Artists) James will paint the 21 professional baseball players that all came from Mobile. He will also include the history of sport in Mobile,
Alabama over the last 300 years. The players that will be depicted in the artwork are: Hank Aaron, Tommie Agee, WIllie McCovey, Satchel Paige, Ozzie Smith, Eddie Stanky, Billy Williams, Amos Otis, Cleon Jones, Tommie Aaron, Terry Adams, Frank Bolling, Milt Bolling, Stan Galle, Chris Kitsos, Norm Larker, Jim Mason, Pete Milne, Walt Sessi, Dave Stapleton, and Turner Ward. Giclees and posters will be available from James' originals. The celebration will take place during the summer and James will be on hand along with many of the players. Posters available for $20.
